MORAY COLLEGE CONSTRUCTION PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY 2019
We are pleased to be able to congratulate two of our apprentices - Lewis Sim and Nathan Kennedy following their success at the '2019 Construction Prize Giving Ceremony' at Moray College UHI on Thursday 26th September 2019.
Lewis won the 'Edmunson Electrical Factors LTD Sheild' for the 'Top Electrical Apprentice - 3rd Year'
Nathan won the 'City Electrical Factors Ltd Sheild' for the 'Top Electrical Apprentice - 1st Year'
Lewis also won the Special Award - the 'Robertson Construction/Rotary Club of Elgin Shield' for the Top Craft Apprentice, Final Year.
We are very proud of you both, congratulations and keep up the good work!
NORTH OF SCOTLAND ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR COMPETITION 2019
Well done to Nathaniel Kennedy for getting so Far. Unfortunately he didnt win although he made a very good effort! Hopefully the hard work will continue to pay off adn you will get another shot at the competition next year.
3RD YEAR ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR 2019
We are very proud to announce following on from last years success Lewis Sim has won the Scottish 3rd Stage Electrical Apprentice of the Year Competition in Dundee.
This is now 3 apprentices so far who have served time with McDonald and Munro in the last 20 years who have won this award. This quite an achievement considering there have been around 30,00 apprentices during this period.
2ND YEAR ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR 2018
We are proud to announce that Lewis Sim won 2nd Year Apprentice of The Year at Moray College Technology Centre in 2018.
Following on from his success, Lewis has now reached the 3rd stage ‘Electrotechnical Modern Apprenticeship Competition’ and has been invited along to North East Scotland College in Fraserburgh on Tuesday 19th February 2019. We wish him luck in the next stage of the competition.

Lewis has been awarded the "City Electrical Factors Ltd Shield" for Top Electrical Apprentice - 1st Year.
Matthew has been awarded the "William Wilson Cup" for Best Plumbing Apprentice - 2nd Year.
Matthew has also been awarded the "Speyside Plumbing Services Ltd Trophy" for Best Lead Development - 2nd Year.
Ian has been awarded the "Grampian Plumbing Services Ltd Shield" for Best Adult Plumbing Apprentice.
We are pleased to confirm that both Matthew Davidson and Ian Muir have both now completed their training and are qualified plumbers.

We are pleased to announce that, as previous years, we have taken on another 3 electrical apprentices for 2019. We have also taken on 1 plumbing apprentice and 1 plumbing adult trainee. We proudly offer the opportunity to individuals wishing to secure employment and in securing a suitable apprenticeship to learn these trades.

McDonald and Munro Ltd have successfully completed Daikin Altherma Air Source Heat Pump training and have been awarded the certification of as approved installers of these units.
All electrical employees have completed necessary BS7671 regulations Amendment 3 training at our premises. This is very important to keep engineers up-to-date with regulations.
We can also confirm that our electricians are now in the process of completing the new 18th regulations training.
